A "NAKED" Interview with David Green: A Con Artist in an Artful One-Act

"Naked Came the Painting," a one act comedy by LindaAnn Loschiavo, had its first performance  on Wednesday, 10 November 2010 in Manhattan at LABA Theatre.
• • In the cast are: Lila Smith [MEREDITH], Susanne Nelson [AMELIA], and David A. Green [Mr. ZIMBATATTA].
• • Shela Xoregos directs.
• • Here's an excerpt from an exclusive interview with the actor David A. Green, who will portray the fascinating psychic MR.  ZIMBATATTA.
• • • • QUESTION: Your character, Mr. Zimbatatta  — —  what are some things you like about him and what are some things that make you empathize with this person who has some psychic ability but a far larger portion of con artist in him, David?
• • • • DAVID GREEN said:  I like that I (as Mr. Zimbatatta) have been able to find my little corner of the sky and uniqueness. I don't feel that I am hurting anyone and truly believe that I am helping in so many ways. I had a very lonely and somewhat isolated childhood (myself) and can relate to a person wanting to be someone interesting, exciting and noticed!
• • • • QUESTION:  Any interesting experiences with Tarot readings in your life that you'd like to share?  Any feelings about being around psychics, learning about the occult, or being around oil paintings?
• • • • DAVID GREEN said:  Not many Tarot experiences but I did see a psychic before I moved to NY (over 25 years ago) and found her to be intriguing and insightful (at the time) although I don't recall much of what she said now! I do believe that some people do possess this gift. Oil painitngs are always a focal point for me. Get me in front of a Van Gogh and I still get excited!

An Interview with Actress Lila Smith

The cast for Naked Came the Painting, a one act comedy by LindaAnn Loschiavo, is excited about opening night at LABA Theatre in Manhattan on 10 November 2010.
• • In the cast are: Lila Smith [MEREDITH], Susanne Nelson [AMELIA], and David A. Green [Mr. ZIMBATATTA].
• • Shela Xoregos directs.
• • Here is an excerpt from an exclusive interview with the actress Lila Smith, who is starring as the character MEREDITH.
• • • •  QUESTION:  What are some experiences you have had in theatre creating various roles in comedies?
• • • • LILA SMITH:   Some of the most fun I've had performing has been in comedies, in roles like Bobbi Michele in "Last of the Red Hot Lovers," or as Rapunzel in "Into the Woods," but when you really look at either of them as a real person, you'll see that the situations they were in were entirely serious to them.
• • • • LILA SMITH:   Even the most serious roles in the darkest dramas I've done can have moments of pure comedy. That's just life. People are funny from the outside, especially when they're faced with situations they wouldn't have chosen to be in. They just don't necessarily know they are being funny.
